Procurement Planner (Ingredients)

Job Summary
Execute purchasing for assigned ingredients categories, manage Purchase Orders in the ERP system, and coordinate shipment tracking and delivery. Develop operating plans to support forecasted business growth while balancing competing priorities across Procurement, Innovation, Brand, and Supply Chain teams. Oversee vendor relationships, conduct market research to optimize the supply base, and drive process improvement workstreams to identify cost savings. Monitor open purchase orders for on-time delivery and resolve potential problems, ensuring accurate vendor billing and adherence to terms. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and identify new sourcing opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years' experience in manufacturing or CPG procurement operations
- Must pass any and all required background checks
- Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
- Must be able to work independently or among teams with keen judgement, common sense and resourcefulness
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, non-verbal, written), with the ability to build relationships at all levels, both internally and externally
- Possesses a high level of critical thinking
- Consistently operates with an elevated level of professionalism and integrity, including dealing with confidential information
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Outlook)
- Adapts and thrives in a demanding, start-up, fast-paced environment
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with MRP/ERP systems preferred
- Strong analytical skills preferred
