Job Summary
Lead, coordinate, and manage the full procurement lifecycle including planning, sourcing, tendering, evaluation, and contract awards for school infrastructure projects. Ensure strict compliance with NSW Government procurement policies, procedures, and regulations while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to mitigate risks related to cost, quality, and delivery. Maintain proactive supplier communications, monitor procurement activities for transparency, and conduct quality assurance checks on documentation to ensure accuracy and alignment with project objectives. Guide project teams in adopting best practices and implementing continuous improvements to maximize value for money. Operate under tight deadlines to deliver outcomes that support high-quality education facilities across NSW.
Required Qualifications
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in procurement, contract management or a related discipline and/or equivalent relevant work experience
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of NSW Government procurement policies, systems, procedures and legislation including probity
- Valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) clearance number
- Australian work rights (citizens, permanent residents, New Zealand citizens or a valid work visa)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience managing end-to-end procurement processes, including drafting and reviewing procurement documentation, facilitating evaluation processes, and ensuring compliance
- Experience in organising and facilitating evaluation meetings and stakeholder engagement
- Ability to operate under time pressure, balancing multiple priorities while maintaining integrity and compliance; delivering outcomes within deadlines
- Ability in maintaining accurate records and reporting on procurement activity
- Knowledge of best practice and continuous improvement in procurement processes
- Strong stakeholder management and excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex procurement concepts into actionable guidance
- Exceptional attention to detail, quality assurance capabilities, and a track record of achieving value for money
- Demonstrated ability to identify risks and implement effective mitigation strategies
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people
