Job Summary
Procurement Multi-Family Manager oversees supplier management and procurement for the Space Launch Systems program, with authority to commit company resources through contracts and agreements. Leads a cross-disciplinary team of supplier management and procurement staff, conducting supplier assessments, performance improvement, and process optimization. Develops and executes project plans, implements policies, acquires resources, and maintains partnerships with customers and stakeholders. Provides oversight of technical approaches, products, and negotiation processes using FAR tools, and motivates and develops employees. Requires extensive leadership and supplier-management experience (10+ years typical), with a preferred Bachelor’s degree or higher. This role is onsite in Huntsville, AL, with travel up to 25%. NASA access and export-control compliance are required. Relocation assistance is not provided. The employer will not sponsor employment visas.
Required Qualifications
- At least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience)
- More than 5 years of experience in Supplier Management/Procurement as a Purchasing Agent or Buyer
- More than 5 years of experience in negotiating contracts or managing supplier performance
- More than 5 years of experience in constructing/building and providing reports and presentation material for assigned projects or Leadership review
