Job Summary
Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with production schedules and business goals while balancing outsourced sourcing to optimize cost, quality, and lead times. Manage supplier relationships by evaluating, selecting, and driving continuous improvement from a systematic approach, including mitigating risks through dual sourcing and safety stock. Negotiate favorable terms and contracts, monitor performance to implement corrective actions, and ensure timely purchase order placement and compliance. Collaborate with production, engineering, and logistics teams to forecast material requirements, expedite orders, and support new product introductions. Analyze market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities and maintain accurate records for regular performance reporting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of procurement experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably discrete manufacturing
- Strong negotiation, communication, and supplier management skills
- Knowledge of procurement software and ERP systems
- Analytical mindset with the ability to manage budgets and forecast needs
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and supply chain dynamics
