Job Summary
Manage project procurement activities including sourcing, purchasing, supplier engagement, and inventory control in line with project requirements. Provide detailed analytical procurement reporting to senior corporate and project management, managing the Project Procurement Status Report to track progress, risks, and requirements. Lead a small team of procurement personnel by assigning work according to project priorities and provide guidance on proposed procurement strategies. Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to achieve tender approval outcomes while ensuring compliance with technical standards and safety protocols. This site-based opportunity supports major pipeline infrastructure and drilling projects across Australasia. Candidates must reside locally or be interstate with approved Australian visa working rights.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum eight years' experience in purchasing, buying or a related procurement role within heavy construction or infrastructure, preferably within pipeline construction
- Strong analytical capability with experience preparing detailed procurement reports and progress updates
- Practical experience using ERP systems, preferably Si Compta or a similar system
- Strong financial, negotiation and change management skills
- Experience with estimation costing, planning and working to project budgets
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to support, guide and delegate work within a small procurement team
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with suppliers, subcontractors and internal project teams
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach with a strong commitment to safety, quality, compliance and project outcomes
- Currently live within Australia
- Currently approved visa working rights (permanent, temporary, student, spousal, etc) to Australia
