Job Summary
Lead the U.S. procurement team across Puyallup and Memphis sites, developing talent, establishing goals, and fostering a collaborative culture. Oversee purchase-order execution for production, aftermarket, and new product introduction while resolving supplier performance issues and material shortages. Execute procurement strategy through supplier negotiations, quarterly business reviews, and supply-base optimization to reduce risk. Partner with Operations, Planning, Engineering, and Finance to support customer demand, new product introductions, and S&OP processes. Champion continuous improvement, standardize processes across both locations, and ensure ERP/MRP data integrity. Monitor supplier capacity and financial health to develop contingency plans and enhance supply chain resilience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related discipline
- 7+ years of progressive procurement, purchasing, or supply chain experience within manufacturing
- 3+ years leading procurement or purchasing teams
- Demonstrated experience developing teams and leading strategic sourcing initiatives and supplier negotiations
- Strong ERP/MRP experience within a manufacturing environment
- Must be able to sit or stand at a computer for extended periods
- Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
Desired Qualifications
- ASCM/APICS, ISM, or equivalent certification
- Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement experience
