Job Summary
Procurement Manager at PulteGroup responsible for community startup strategy, procurement budgeting and cost forecasting, developing sourcing strategies, managing vendor performance and relationships with trade partners, and leading a procurement team. Requires strong written and verbal communication, collaboration with construction peers, and ability to drive cost efficiency and project success through data-driven decision making and market insights. Role is onsite five days per week at the Louisville, KY office; involves supplier negotiations, VIP meetings, site walks, and ensuring alignment with budgets, timelines, and quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum high school diploma or GED required
- University degree or equivalent experience preferred/required
- Proficiency in procurement systems, financial analysis, cost management, and risk assessment
- Ability to develop sourcing strategies and negotiate with suppliers
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience coaching and developing teams
- Knowledge of construction materials, trade practices, and industry standards
- ISCM (Certified Procurement) or equivalent accreditation preferred
