Job Summary
Own all strategic and tactical sourcing of ingredients, packaging, and direct materials to support finished goods production. Manage contract manufacturers and external suppliers end-to-end, including capacity planning, performance reviews, and material availability. Lead negotiations across pricing, terms, and minimum order quantities while building strong supplier relationships and driving performance KPIs. Identify and execute cost savings opportunities through total-cost-of-ownership analysis and value-engineering. Forecast material costs, partner with Finance on COGS planning, and track realized savings against annual targets. Mitigate supply risk by developing contingency plans, maintaining safety stock, and monitoring commodity markets. Release purchase orders, monitor inbound materials, and maintain clean records of procurement transactions in NetSuite.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Procurement and Strategic Sourcing in a CPG environment
- Proven ability to manage supplier relationships, negotiate effectively, and drive accountability
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred), Microsoft Excel, and procurement reporting tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, growth-stage company with limited resources
- Ability to travel approximately 15%
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working in both startup and scaled CPG environments
- Experience in building or refining procurement policies and sourcing strategies
- Familiarity with sustainability or ethical sourcing programs
- Experience with KPI dashboard creation and supplier scorecards
