Job Summary
Procurement Manager responsible for leading end-to-end procurement in a manufacturing environment. Develop and implement procurement strategies, manage supplier relationships, and negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms while ensuring FAR compliance. Utilize ERP systems (SAP, Oracle EBS) to streamline purchasing, materials management, and production planning (MRP). Conduct root-cause analyses to resolve supply-chain disruptions, oversee supplier performance against quality and delivery standards, and collaborate with manufacturing and logistics to optimize inventory. Monitor market trends to identify cost-saving supplier alternatives and drive continuous improvement in procurement processes. Lead cross-functional teams (2-4 members) in a fast-paced setting, with a focus on sourcing strategy, contract management, and supplier relationship management. Qualifications include 2+ years in procurement management, a B.S. degree in business or related field (preferred), and APICS CPIM (preferred); familiarity with FAR, ITAR/EAR compliance and government contracting is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. degree in Business Administration or related field is preferred
- APICS professional certification (CPIM) preferred
- 2+ years managing a purchasing team and department (2-4 team members)
- Experience in procurement management within manufacturing environments
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle EBS
- Expertise in contract negotiation and supplier relationship management
- Understanding of FAR and government contracting experience a plus
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams in fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with sourcing strategies, category management, and materials management
- Knowledge of ITAR/EAR compliance and U.S. Person status
