Job Summary
The Procurement Manager is responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies, identifying and onboarding suppliers, managing supplier performance and risk, negotiating pricing and contracts, overseeing the procure-to-pay process, ensuring ISO-aligned policies, and leading a procurement team. The role emphasizes cost savings, ethical sourcing, cross-functional collaboration with finance/operations/engineering, data-driven decision making, and maintaining optimal stock levels while driving continuous improvement and KPI tracking. The candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 8+ years of EPC procurement experience, with strong negotiation, supplier-management software, leadership, and analytics skills. The role is based in Houston, TX, with on-site (in-person) responsibilities and no visa sponsorship for work authorization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Business Administration
- 8+ years experience in Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC)
- Proven working experience as a Procurement Manager
- Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as a dexterity in reading the market
- Talent in negotiations and networking
- Good knowledge of supplier or third-party management software
- Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers
- Experience in collecting and analyzing data
- Strong leadership capabilities
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Experience using supply chain and procurement systems (ERP, SAP etc.)
