Job Summary
Manage end-to-end procurement for key categories by personally running RFPs, negotiating pricing and terms with vendors, and executing contracts. Own vendor relationships day-to-day, troubleshooting issues and monitoring compliance while processing purchase orders and requisitions directly during high-volume periods. Partner closely with Finance, Legal, IT, and department stakeholders to resolve procurement questions and unblock purchases quickly. Jump into ad hoc projects and problem-solving as priorities shift, applying a bias toward action in a fast-paced environment. This hands-on role suits someone who thrives on execution rather than oversight. HealthVerity supports critical applications in clinical development and commercial strategy within the healthcare data ecosystem.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of procurement experience
- demonstrated preference for hands-on, execution-focused work over purely strategic/oversight roles
- Strong negotiation skills
- track record of personally closing favorable vendor deals
- Comfort with ambiguity
- willingness to do whatever it takes - from high-level strategy to manual PO entry - depending on what the business needs
- Experience with procurement/ERP systems (e.g., Olive, Tropic, NetSuite)
- Strong analytical skills
- ability to build your own spend analyses rather than relying solely on others
- Excellent communication skills
- ability to build trust with stakeholders across departments
