Job Summary
Oversee procurement activities within the district and on projects, negotiating commercial terms with vendors and subcontractors while consulting legal and senior management. Manage vendor qualification and evaluation processes, enforce procurement policies, and oversee development of analytics and reporting. Monitor execution of purchasing buyouts, maintain records of goods ordered and received, and handle Accounts Payable reconciliation. Facilitate RFPs and collaborate with the preconstruction team on new opportunities. Prepare reports and correspondence as needed. Requires 5+ years in construction procurement, a Bachelor's degree in a related field, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and JD Edwards E1 World. Salary ranges from $120,000 to $145,000 annually with a personal vehicle allowance of $750 monthly.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years' experience in construction procurement
- Skilled in contract negotiations and legal terminology
- Extensive knowledge of the construction industry
- Leadership and influencing skills
- Ability to identify, track and communicate project plan steps and actions
- Team player with the ability to also work independently to meet fixed deadlines, goals and objectives
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a Business, Supply Chain, Construction Management or Engineering
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Power Point, Word, Excel) with general knowledge of database utilization
- JD Edwards E1 World experience
