Job Summary
Procurement Manager responsible for strategically sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods/services to ensure quality and best value. Oversee purchasing staff, align with internal departments, and drive procurement efficiency. Develop and implement procurement strategies; vet and manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts and terms; prepare reports on deliveries/shortages; support leadership in meeting working capital targets; implement risk management for supply continuity; maintain Approved Supplier List across all supplier tiers; train purchasing team on tools/procedures; collaborate with Engineering on insourcing and projects to optimize systems (e.g., Sage, ScanForce, DWT Portal, QCBD); support quality/engineering analysis for critical components; drive commercially viable solutions with limited guidance; ensure compliance with security, safety, and company policies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in technical discipline or related field
- 5-7 years' experience in supply chain related functions, suppliers' control and development
- Ability to negotiate favorable terms and contracts with suppliers
- Skills in selecting and managing suppliers to ensure quality and reliability
- Adaptable to change
- Highly motivated, results oriented
- Ability to analyze data, track metrics, and perform cost analyses
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams
- Satisfactory financial knowledge and cost-effective oriented
- Willingness to learn and apply lean manufacturing principles (5S, Kanban, pull system, VSM)
- Essential concepts and strategies related to demand management, procurement and supplier relations, material requirements planning, capacity evaluation, sales and operations planning, master scheduling, performance measurements, quality control and continuous improvement
- Bachelor's degree in technical discipline field required
