Job Summary
The Procurement Manager will lead strategic sourcing and supplier performance for large-scale EPC and industrial construction projects, overseeing procurement of engineered equipment and materials. Key responsibilities include developing procurement strategies, managing sourcing and purchasing, conducting contract negotiations, ensuring compliance with procurement policies, and mentoring procurement staff. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, at least 7 years of procurement experience, strong negotiation skills, and proficiency with ERP systems.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 7+ years of progressive procurement experience supporting large-scale industrial, power generation, or EPC construction projects
- Direct experience purchasing engineered equipment, mechanical and electrical commodities, and bulk construction materials
- Strong understanding of technical specifications, equipment data sheets, vendor drawings, and fabrication requirements
- Experience managing long-lead equipment and complex commercial negotiations
- Proficiency with ERP and procurement systems (SAP, JDE, Oracle, or similar)
- Demonstrated experience in supplier evaluation, contract management, and risk mitigation
- Strong negotiation, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Analytical, data-driven decision-making approach
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Viewpoint and pVault
- Professional certification (CPSM, CPP, PMP, or similar)
