Job Summary
Develop sourcing strategies to ensure supply continuity, optimize costs, and support business growth. Manage supplier relationships by identifying, evaluating, and selecting vendors while negotiating contracts and pricing. Oversee purchasing and replenishment processes, including order placement and delivery, ensuring all activities comply with applicable laws and internal policies. Analyze spend, bill of materials costs, and raw material trends to identify cost-saving opportunities and manage procurement budgets against reduction targets. Monitor industry trends and commodity pricing fluctuations to inform decision-making. Prepare and present procurement metrics and performance reports to senior leadership. This role is based on-site in Meriden, CT, with occasional travel for supplier visits and industry events.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Applied Science, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field
