Job Summary
Procurement & Logistics Manager role overseeing the buying, selling, and movement of recyclable materials across multiple facilities, with a mix of strategic and hands-on execution. Responsibilities include negotiating contracts and pricing with suppliers, brokers, and end users; scheduling shipments and coordinating with carriers; managing freight costs; collaborating with operations, finance, and sales; developing forecasting models to support inventory flow and pricing; analyzing market trends; and driving cost control and margin management. Requires experience in procurement, trading, or sales within recycling or related industries, strong logistics coordination skills, and the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives to optimize material movement and market opportunities. This is a permanent, full-time position offering a competitive salary ($100,000–$120,000) plus bonus, with a Monday–Friday schedule and benefits; located in Oakville, ON, with hybrid work arrangement.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in procurement, trading, or sales within recycling, metals, or related industries (required)
- Hands-on logistics coordination experience (scheduling shipments, managing freight carriers, overseeing material movement)
- Strong experience in contract negotiation and commercial decision-making
- Experience with forecasting, inventory flow, and supply/demand planning
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel)
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as needed
