Job Summary
Cross-functional leadership role overseeing end-to-end service operations spanning Sales, Commercial Support, Service Coordination, Commercial Management Operation, and Procurement & Logistics. Responsibilities include aligning prioritization across departments to ensure on-time delivery, managing inventory at the Kobe Parts Center, resolving urgent supply and delivery challenges, and driving continuous process improvements. The position requires coordinating with internal stakeholders and the head office (IRM/Accelleron) for escalation when needed, and leading a small team to optimize supplier performance, inventory availability, and customer satisfaction while upholding HSE standards.
Required Qualifications
- Experience leading cross-functional coordination across departments such as Sales, Commercial Support, Service Coordination, Commercial Management Operation, and Procurement & Logistics
- Ability to resolve delivery and supply issues, manage escalating situations, and drive on-time delivery (OTD)
- Inventory and supply management experience, including optimizing stock levels at a regional center
- Ability to define and enforce prioritization rules for urgent/critical cases and support Sales during delays
- Organizational leadership of a Procurement & Logistics team (approx. 5 members) with people development
- Japanese business proficiency (corporate coordination and Sales interactions)
- English communication skills for headquarters collaboration
- 3+ years of people management experience (team leadership)
- Understanding of supplier management, contract management, and regulatory compliance
- Experience with continuous improvement and Kaizen activities in operations
- Knowledge of HSE practices and ability to model compliant behavior
- Inventory planning, supplier coordination, and logistics knowledge
- Experience across operations, supply chain, or service domains with cross-functional integration
- Exposure to service business or after-sales environments is a plus
