Procurement Leader (m/f/d)

Job Summary
Procurement Leader responsible for steering and developing the Operational and Strategic Procurement Team in a global packaging and manufacturing technology environment. Leads supplier qualification and development, negotiates supplier agreements, optimizes material flows and inventory for high reliability, identifies cost-saving opportunities, drives make-or-buy and outsourcing initiatives, and standardizes procurement processes and tools in the SAP landscape while expanding framework agreements. Defines and advances procurement strategy with key stakeholders, optimizes sourcing concepts, and strengthens cross-functional alignment and supply chain resilience. Requires a degree in Business Administration and/or Engineering (Industrial Engineer preferred), 5+ years in leadership within procurement, fluent English, SAP proficiency, and strong MS Office and procurement-tool skills.
Required Qualifications
- At least 5 years of leadership experience in operational procurement (and ideally strategic procurement)
- Fluent English (written and spoken)
- Strong knowledge of SAP and common procurement tools
- Experience in leading and developing large, partially decentralized teams
- Experience in working within a complex matrix organization
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and/or Engineering (Industrial Engineer preferred) or equivalent professional experience
- Experience in supplier qualification, supplier development, and supplier negotiations
- Knowledge of make-or-buy decisions and outsourcing initiatives
- Ability to standardize processes and drive digitalization of procurement in SAP
- Strong analytical and cross-functional collaboration skills
