Procurement Lead - Telco

Job Summary
Procurement Lead to build and standardize the procurement function at Airalo. You will design and roll out procurement policy, delegation thresholds, supplier onboarding, and competitive-tender standards; own category strategies across networks, IT/SaaS, marketing, and professional services; establish spend visibility and a vendor taxonomy; lead high-value negotiations to deliver savings; manage master agreements, renewals, and third-party risk; drive the purchase-to-pay process and integrate procurement into ERP. You will partner with Finance on budgeting, ensure proper controls and audit trails, and influence senior stakeholders across networks, marketing, and technology to transform buying behavior. This is a senior, build-from-scratch role reporting to the CFO in a remote-first environment in the UK or Spain with global scope and multi-currency considerations.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years in procurement, strategic sourcing, or commercial / category management, including building or scaling a procurement function in a fast-growth company
- Deep category expertise across indirect spend (marketing, IT/SaaS, professional services) and exposure to network, telecom, or infrastructure spend
- Proven track record of running competitive tenders and complex negotiations with measurable, validated savings
- Hands-on experience designing PO/PR and purchase-to-pay processes within an ERP environment (SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft)
- Strong command of procurement policy, delegation of authority, supplier risk, and controls
- Ability to influence without authority and collaborate with senior leaders across functions
- Preferred: experience in high-growth companies, ERP/P2P implementation, and global, multi-currency operations that require audit-readiness
