Job Summary
Develop and execute long-term procurement strategies for the Marketing & Events category, conducting market analysis to predict supply and demand shifts. Strategically partner with the business as the primary contact, facilitating cross-departmental meetings to align strategies with commercial objectives. Lead cost reduction efforts by evaluating suppliers, consolidating vendors, and renegotiating contracts while implementing risk mitigation strategies for supply chain disruptions. Advocate for innovative procurement technologies and process automation to enhance efficiency, mentor team members, and ensure all activities comply with internal policies and industry regulations. This role builds a best-in-class global procurement function from the ground up within a fast-paced, listed company environment.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in leading and developing commercial strategies relating to the categories in your scope
- Proven track record of delivering and exceeding commercial targets such as savings, supplier consolidation, cash management
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships, influence and work collaboratively across different teams
- Ability to advise, manage and report risks effectively, providing practical solutions to mitigate them
- Experience with sourcing tools, market analysis and end-to-end procurement processes
- Demonstrable ability to evaluate and summarise complex sourcing scenarios, communicating them in a clear and pragmatic way to different stakeholders and influencing with impact
- Project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
- A get-it-done, collaborative approach to problem-solving
- Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the financial services or the fintech industry
