Job Summary
Procurement - IT Category Sourcing Manager lead end-to-end global, multi-region strategic IT sourcing across IT categories (software, hardware, services, licensing). Develop and execute IT category strategies, conduct market/demand/spend analysis, identify sourcing opportunities, and deliver cost savings and service improvements. Lead tender processes (RFx), supplier negotiations, and contract development for complex IT deals; provide commercial guidance to stakeholders; ensure robust contractual structures and risk mitigation. Partner with IT leadership and senior stakeholders to drive adoption of sourcing strategies; manage SRM where necessary; leverage procurement technology and spend analytics (P2P, eSourcing, Coupa, Power BI) to inform decision-making and governance. Contribute to process improvements, change management, and knowledge sharing. Required to have significant global IT sourcing experience, strong communication and influencing skills, and experience with IT procurement categories. Location: Zug, Switzerland; hybrid work arrangement.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in commercial, economics, business, or engineering
- Nationally recognized professional certification (eg Chartered Institute of Procurement or Certified Purchasing Manager or equivalent)
- Significant experience in strategic IT sourcing and category management within a global environment
- Proven track record in leading complex sourcing projects and negotiating enterprise-level IT contracts
- Strong knowledge of IT procurement categories (software, SaaS, cloud, infrastructure, services)
- Experience with RFx processes, contract development, and supplier negotiations
- Experience with eProcurement systems (P2P platforms, eSourcing tools, catalogues)
- Strong analytical, commercial acumen, and financial modeling skills
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills
- Ability to operate in a matrixed, international organization
- Experience with spend analytics and data-driven sourcing
- Familiarity with Coupa and Power BI (preferred)
- Degree in commercial, economics, business, or engineering; professional procurement certification
