Job Summary
Procurement & Inventory Coordinator overseeing surgical recovery, preservation, and packaging of organs at the recovery center; responsibilities include OR logistics & communication, ordering and maintaining procurement supplies, inventory management with par levels, and aseptic technique. Coordinate restocking and distribution of clinical supplies to regional offices, ensure proper disposal of biohazard materials, maintain donor information and OPTN records, and communicate with organ placement staff and transplant centers. Requires data entry, compliance with safety and organizational plans, and occasional travel; role supports hospital and transplant program education and policy development.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist highly preferred
- Certified medical professional or associates degree with a minimum of 1 year experience
- Demonstrate teamwork, clinical, analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills in a high stress environment
- Valid driver's license and proof of automobile insurance
- Possesses a reliable personal automobile
- Physical requirement includes the ability to lift at least 50lbs
- Travel by company or personal automobile or commercial/charter aircraft required
- Maintains confidentiality regarding all patient and other confidential information
