Job Summary
Conduct detailed product costing analysis for PCBs, enclosures, and mechanical parts by interpreting engineering drawings and BOMs. Build competitive commercial proposals and RFQ packages while clarifying technical ambiguities with customers and internal teams. Scout, evaluate, and onboard global suppliers to secure optimal pricing and mitigate supply chain risks. Manage the end-to-end project lifecycle from order placement to on-time delivery once bids are won. Requires 3 to 5 years of experience in RFQ preparation and strategic sourcing within the electronics manufacturing sector. Based in Ahmedabad, India, with full-time employment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree (B.E./B. Tech) in Electrical, Electronics, or an allied engineering background
- 3 to 5 years of core experience in RFQ preparation, product costing, and strategic sourcing within the Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS), hardware, or automotive sectors
- Proficient in parsing complex engineering drawings and BOM structures
- Strong familiarity with electronic component markets, PCB fabrication processes, and mechanical manufacturing techniques
- Advanced data analysis skills using MS Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, data modeling)
- Strong negotiation skills
- Excellent verbal/written communication for vendor and customer relations
- The ability to work autonomously under tight bidding deadlines
