Procurement Coordinator

Job Summary

Prepare, review, and process purchase orders while maintaining accurate records of purchases, pricing, and stock levels. Build relationships with suppliers to support pricing discussions and evaluate performance, then coordinate shipments, deliveries, logistics arrangements, and customs documentation where required. Monitor and track orders to ensure timely delivery, resolving issues relating to damaged goods, incorrect shipments, or delivery delays. Ensure procurement activities comply with internal policies, export controls, and regulatory requirements while working closely with internal teams to understand requirements and ensure timely fulfilment. Support the development and improvement of procurement processes aligned to business growth. This fully onsite role in the Greater Cambridge area requires DV Security Clearance eligibility and offers exposure across procurement, logistics, and supplier management within a scaling technology organisation.

Required Qualifications

  • 2.1 or 1st from internationally renowned university
  • all A's at A-Level (or international equivalent)
  • willing and eligible to obtain DV Security Clearance
  • long-term UK residency history (typically 10+ years)
  • ability to pass government security vetting
  • Experience within procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or buying roles
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Confident managing multiple suppliers, quotes, and orders simultaneously
  • Good understanding of purchase order processes and general procurement workflows
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and solve problems quickly
  • Ability to prioritise workload effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to drive and travel between sites
  • Must be eligible for UK Security Clearance
