Job Summary
Procurement Coordinator role supporting the Vice President of Strategic Sourcing & Occupational Safety at North Shore Health. Responsible for coordinating procurement activities, managing vendor relationships, handling purchasing processes, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and ensuring centers have supplies and resources to deliver quality resident care. Serves as primary liaison between facilities and vendors, manages vendor onboarding and compliance, communicates vendor recalls, reviews reports, and supports inventory and administrative tasks to enable clinical teams and leadership to focus on care delivery. Requires hospitality-minded, customer-service orientation, attention to detail, and strong collaboration across departments. Bachelor's degree or equivalent procurement experience preferred; healthcare experience is a plus. Travel up to 10%.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in procurement, project management or similar
- Experience in healthcare strongly preferred but not required
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Up to 10% travel to local facilities/conferences/vendor events
