Job Summary
Draft, review, and negotiate contractual language while standardizing terms for use across vendors. Develop and maintain a library of standard agreements and terms. Liaise with internal legal experts to ensure the applicability and sufficiency of existing practices regarding GDPR, employment, compliance, and information security. Assist in establishing formal policies and procedures governing the supplier contract life cycle, and support the development of systems for contract lifecycle management. Perform industry research on legal matters related to specific commodities and applicable legislation across various regions. Contribute to the holistic negotiation of agreements with suppliers to optimize service, cost, quality, and risk mitigation. Stay abreast of professional trends and functional innovation in sourcing and procurement. This role reports to the Associate General Counsel within a globally focused Sourcing and Procurement Group.
Required Qualifications
- J.D.
- 3-5 years or more of recent transactional legal experience
Desired Qualifications
- Recognized Procurement certification in CIPS, ISM or other professional purchasing organization
- Existing knowledge of procurement commodities, including technology, staffing, operations, facilities, services and other non-technology related areas
- Solid business judgment, including the ability to anticipate and analyze impact and consequences of decisions/initiatives and recommendations
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
