Procurement Category Manager - Logistics

Job Summary
Own and drive category strategy for assigned Logistics categories including Ground, Air, Ocean Transportation, and Warehousing, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Lead end-to-end sourcing activities, including RFx development, supplier engagement, bid analysis, negotiations, and award recommendations using eSourcing tools. Analyze spend data and market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities, drive value, and mitigate supply risks. Manage supplier performance through defined KPIs, lead commercial negotiations, and prepare quarterly business reviews with performance tracking. Act as the primary procurement point of contact, partnering with Operations, Legal, and Accounts Payable to ensure compliance and effective execution. Identify and implement process improvements across sourcing and category management activities while tracking category performance and communicating market developments to management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 3–5 years of experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, or Logistics-related roles
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage a defined category end to end
- Solid negotiation and analytical skills for services procurement
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Self-motivated, accountable, and results-oriented
