Job Summary
Develop and execute category strategies aligned with business goals, conducting market analysis to identify sourcing opportunities. Manage end-to-end procurement activities including RFx processes, negotiations, and contracting while monitoring performance to implement cost-saving initiatives. Build strong relationships with strategic suppliers, lead performance reviews, and negotiate commercial terms to manage supplier risk. Identify improvements to procurement processes and tools, collaborating cross-functionally to drive operational efficiency and support procurement transformation. Ensure compliance with policies, maintain accurate system records, and provide mentorship to junior team members. This role supports the LGC Diagnostics and Genomics Business Unit, enabling mission-critical genomics components for a diverse customer base.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or other related field
- 5+ years of experience in procurement, category management, or strategic sourcing
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and project management skills
- Proven experience in process improvement and change management
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
- Team management skills and experience
- Proficiency in procurement systems and tools (e.g., ERP, e-sourcing platforms)
- Experience with MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc)
