Procurement Category Manager

Job Summary
Manage strategic sourcing for Marketing, Human Resources, Consulting, and Finance categories in the Americas, including product/service sourcing, supplier selection, pricing negotiations, and contract administration. Lead reverse auctions and initiatives to optimize cost, mitigate risk, and maximize cash flow while developing global preferred supply bases. Analyze total cost of ownership and ROI to identify cost-saving opportunities and enforce vendor performance through scorecards and SLAs. This Specialist Professional role reports to the Senior Manager Global Procurement and requires navigating a fast-paced, multi-national environment with high-stakes discussions.
Required Qualifications
- 4 years of experience in Procurement sourcing and category management
- Understanding of basic procurement law with correlating ability to negotiate/oversee: master supply agreements, professional services agreements, statements of work, change requests, amendments
- Experience in some of the following Procurement categories: Marketing, Human Resources, Professional Services, and Financial Services
- Demonstrated track record of leading the sourcing process, working with stakeholders across businesses and geographies
- Proven ability to communicate, influence and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels of an organization
- Excellent interpersonal skills and must be a team player
- Excellent negotiations skills with the ability to negotiate large volume, high risk deals independently
- Strong supplier management skills
- Must be well organized
- Confident in navigating demands from stakeholders
- Natural self-starter with a willingness to learn and embrace new methodologies
- Employing excellent communication, influencing and interpersonal skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working in eSourcing tool environment a plus
- Bachelor's degree is Preferred
