Job Summary

Develop and implement category strategies across assigned commodities, including market research, spend analysis, sourcing, and contract management. Manage supplier partnerships for co-packers and indirect services, overseeing production, inventory, quality, and food safety performance. Lead strategic sourcing efforts through RFP preparation, negotiations, and contract development while monitoring cost drivers to mitigate rising expenses. Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and operations to support innovation pipelines and resolve production issues. Conduct regular business reviews, risk assessments, and supplier onboarding to ensure alignment with corporate initiatives. Maintain accurate SAP S/4HANA data and track monthly KPIs. Requires 8 years of procurement experience, co-packing background, and SAP proficiency. Full-time hybrid role with up to 25% travel.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
  • 8 years of experience in procurement and/or category management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Valid driver's license or government-issued ID required
  • Travel Required: up to 25%

Desired Qualifications

  • 3 years of direct category management experience preferred
  • Co-packing or co-manufacturing experience strongly preferred
  • Background in purchasing, logistics, supply chain management, or marketing
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA and proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Professional certifications such as CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management), Project Management, or Lean Six Sigma are highly desirable
  • Internal Only: Experience with Community Coffee, even if unrelated, may fulfill this requirement at the discretion of the hiring manager with approval from Human Resources
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
