Job Summary
Coordinate supplier identification and market assessment activities for the South Africa Supplier Market Assessment project, including distributing Requests for Information, organizing supplier meetings, and managing documentation. Maintain accurate procurement records and supplier databases while compiling project trackers, progress updates, and statistical reports for regular review. Monitor supplier response rates, escalate project risks or data quality issues to the Line Manager, and ensure all procurement activities comply with MSF policies and procedures. This four-month fixed-term role supports the Southern Africa Supply Unit in efficiently profiling South African manufacturers across priority product categories.
Required Qualifications
- National Diploma, bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Supply Chain Management, Procurement Management, Logistics Management, Business Administration, Commerce, or Economics
- Minimum 1 year of experience in procurement, supply chain, logistics, administration, supplier management, market research, or a related business support function
- Experience working with data collection, data capturing, record management, or supplier information management
- Experience using Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook in a professional environment
- Experience coordinating with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong administrative and organizational skills
- Excellent attention to detail
