Job Summary
Procurement and Activation Specialist at Houston Methodist responsible for soliciting, awarding and administering contracts, developing vendor relationships, invoice control, and acting as purchasing authority in contracting with vendors using defined specifications and performance metrics. Partners with construction project managers to manage vendor relationships and ensures alignment with SCM management and HM entities. Requires strong communication, contract management, and analytical skills to resolve vendor performance issues and collaborate with executives, physicians, and department staff. CSCP preferred; ERP experience and English language proficiency emphasized for patient/employee safety-related activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business or related field
- Five years of experience in procurement to include three years contracting experience in a hospital setting specifically in capital equipment, maintenance, repairs and operations (MRO)
