Job Summary
Procurement Analyst responsible for developing and maintaining carrier relations, resolving carrier and customer inquiries, and sourcing favorable pricing through RFPs. The role emphasizes managing communications via email, phone, EDI, and web transactions; participating in bid feedback calls; negotiating carrier rates; supporting cross-functional projects and account management; and driving process improvements within customer requirements and team goals to achieve high customer satisfaction and KPI targets.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Transportation, Business, or any combination and experience providing equivalent background
- Ability to interact well with others in a team environment and meet time-sensitive requirements
- Experience in carrier-facing roles in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to manage competing priorities, multi-task, and meet deadlines while providing high-quality customer service
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with ability to prioritize workload
- Proficiency with web-based applications and Microsoft Excel including VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables
