Job Summary
Procurement Agent II supports end-to-end purchasing for projects, handling RFIs/RFPs/RFQs, creating and editing purchase orders or contracts, coordinating material deliveries, and researching vendor options. Requires proficiency with MS Office, basic electrical trades knowledge, and familiarity with purchasing procedures, supplier negotiations, and ERP/PO systems. Responsibilities include proactive issue resolution with project management and field personnel, ensuring clear bill of materials, expediting shipments, applying contract pricing, and delivering excellent customer service to internal/external stakeholders. The role emphasizes problem solving, data analysis, supplier management, and cross-functional collaboration to support project start-ups and continuous improvement within a construction/engineering/manufacturing/renewable-energy environment.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Associate’s Degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, or relevant trade/industry technical program.
- Experience: 2-5 years of Purchasing/Buying experience in electrical industry or other relevant business.
- Travel: Less than 10% with limited periodic travel to different office/jobsite locations.
- Work Schedule: Hours 7 AM to 5 PM, Monday-Friday; overtime may be required.
