Job Summary
Process donations by inspecting clothing for cleanliness and style, test appliances and electronics for working condition, determine retail value of items according to pricing guidelines and ticket the merchandise, size and tag and correctly hang all merchandise, clean merchandise as required, and insure a consistent flow of merchandise to the sales floor as directed by the Processing Lead; adhere to the processing area dress code; may perform related duties as assigned. Responsibilities require the ability to lift up to 40 pounds, stand for extended periods, and maintain a neat appearance in Rockford, IL part-time role with emphasis on fashion knowledge and safe work practices, along with the organization’s spiritual responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED or the work equivalent
- Must be able to make quick and decisive judgments on the quality and retail value of merchandise
- Have knowledge of fashion labels and trends
- Must engage in safe and healthy work practices, for all staff, volunteers, and program participants
