Job Summary
Price and ticket wares to maintain production quotas, sorting footwear and separating toys, glass, and seasonal items into categories. Test electrical and mechanical items for sale or discard, then box salvage and mark all outgoing goods clearly. Assist truck drivers with loading and unloading materials from the Goodwill truck while transporting items to the sales floor. Perform general housekeeping, safety protocols, and quality control, including cleaning as needed and bagging salvage. Work long periods standing with occasional lifting up to 50 pounds, responding to supervisor directions to meet deadlines and maintain high standards of conduct and personal hygiene.
Required Qualifications
- Must have good work habits, such as acceptable attitude and punctuality.
- Must respond appropriately to supervision.
- Must possess adequate physical endurance to work at industrial standards.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; push or pull.
- Must be able to occasionally sit, kneel, stoop, throw, turn and twist body.
- Must be able to regularly lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Desired Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred, but on-the-job training is provided.
