Job Summary
As an entry-level Processor / Retail Warehouse Associate for Goodwill Industries of Akron, you will sort donated goods and textiles, inspect items for salability, and prepare them for resale by tagging, pricing, and organizing merchandise. You will handle testing of electronic merchandise for safe operation, maintain safety and cleanliness, generate required reports, and support the development of service participants. The role emphasizes attention to detail, reliability, teamwork, strong communication, and a positive attitude, with responsibilities that include lifting up to 30 lbs, working a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays, and promoting Goodwill’s mission and customer service standards.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to lift and move up to 30 lbs
- Basic mathematical skills
- Previous experience in customer service with retail or food service experience is highly desirable. Work experience in a warehouse or manufacturing setting is helpful.
