Job Summary
Handle materials and follow procedures to de-package and prepare products according to company standards. Clean containers, equipment, and work areas, including sanitizing totes. Unload and handle food waste products up to 40 lbs, moving items to storage and disposing of packaging waste properly. Prepare trailers for customer return and report spills, safety concerns, or other issues to a supervisor. Wear required PPE, including safety shoes, and arrive on time to work Monday through Friday from 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM or until shift completion, with occasional weekend coverage. Work in a fast-paced processing facility with exposure to machinery, moving equipment, and varying temperatures while maintaining food safety and quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must wear company-approved steel-toe shoes
- Must be able to work in hot, noisy, or dusty environments
- Must be able to lift 50-75 lbs and perform physical work
- Must be willing to work different shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overtime when needed
- Must be able to follow safety rules and safe work practices
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the work shift
- Must be able to frequently bend, stoop, reach, kneel, climb stairs, and perform repetitive movements
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 25 pounds frequently, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Must be able to safely operate industrial equipment, including forklifts, yard spotters, and other material handling equipment after successful completion of required training and certification
- Must be able to work around moving machinery and equipment while maintaining awareness of surroundings and following all safety protocols
- Must be able to use hands and fingers for grasping, handling, and operating tools, controls, and computer equipment
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English to understand work instructions, safety procedures, production documentation, and team communications
- Must be able to visually inspect products, equipment, and work areas to identify quality, safety, and operational issues
- Must be able to hear and respond to verbal instructions, alarms, warning signals, and other workplace communications
- Must be able to work flexible schedules, including overtime, weekends, holidays, and shift coverage as needed to support business operations
- Must be willing to comply with pre-employment and random drug testing
- Must be able to confirm employment eligibility as required by federal law
