Job Summary
The Processing Worker handles materials and follows procedures to de-package and prepare products per Company standards, ensuring quality, efficiency, and safety throughout the production process. Responsibilities include adherence to policies and manuals, punctual attendance, following work instructions and production guidelines, donning PPE (including safety shoes), cleaning containers and machines, unloading food waste (up to 40 pounds), preparing semi-trailers for return to customer sites, maintaining clean and orderly work areas, reporting issues or spills to supervision, and participating in meetings and trainings. Requires strict safety compliance, ability to stand and perform tasks in a hot/noisy/dusty manufacturing setting, and lifting up to 50–75 pounds, with rotating shifts and potential overtime. Reports to Processing Shift Lead/Shift Supervisor; no direct reports; non-exempt hourly position with benefits including medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401k, PTO, and more.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent, preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions
- Employees in this position must wear company-approved steel-toe shoes
- Comfortable working in hot, noisy, or dusty environments with physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 – 75 lbs
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, early mornings, late evenings, and occasional weekends, holidays, or overtime as needed
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures in a manufacturing environment
