Job Summary
Processing Technician (Nights) at HP Hood responsibilities include performing processing duties in Receiving, Weigh-Out, Batching and VTIS to ensure service to fillers for ESL and Aseptic products; administer, implement and maintain SOPs/PMs; identify, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues; maintain and rebuild presses, homogenizers and valves; monitor department performance and provide progress reports; coordinate with other departments for timely product flow; learn new equipment and procedures; submit work orders; interface with QA for sampling, swabbing, verification of pallets and ingredients; ensure product meets quality standards; maintain cleanliness and complete documentation; operate forklift in wet conditions; support sanitation programs; and meet site-specific requirements including HACCP, Better Processing Control School, State Timing Training, and Dairy Sampling Permit.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 years’ experience in Manufacturing
- Basic to intermediate understanding of engineering, electronics, and pneumatics
- Must be able to obtain HACCP Certification
- Must be able to successfully complete Better Processing Control School & State Timing Training
- Must be able to complete Dairy Sampling Permit process
- SQF Requirements/Responsibilities: Maintain food safety and food quality per regulatory authorities
