Job Summary

Review work orders and processing instructions before initiating production. Perform tissue processing tasks including debridement, dissection, cutting, cleaning, disinfection, sizing, and quality assessments. Execute packaging and preservation procedures such as confirmation of sizing, quality checks, and cryopreservation. Document all processes and functions in accordance with established protocols. Conduct post-processing decontamination of equipment and the processing room. Work in an FDA-regulated environment under aseptic conditions, lifting up to 50 lbs while wearing personal protective equipment. Schedule includes Saturday through Monday shifts from 5:45 PM to 6:30 AM.

Required Qualifications

  • High School or GED
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Zero years of work experience is required
  • Must be able to sit, stand, bend, walk and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Must be able to wear personal protective equipment to include: surgical gowns, masks, visors or goggles and caps
  • Able to perform tasks thoroughly and with care; checks work to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Able to convey information verbally and in writing
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications, Computer Software, Databases
  • Able to learn new skills, grafts, and adapt to developing product lines
  • Able to prioritize multiple, competing priorities and manage time/workload
  • Able to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • General knowledge of anatomy
  • Able to use surgical instrumentation and equipment
  • Must be available for Saturday-Monday (5:45PM-6:30AM) shifts
  • Must be able to work in an FDA regulated environment
  • Must be able to work under aseptic conditions
  • Must be able to perform controlled production processes
  • Must be able to perform quality assessments of tissue products
  • Must be able to perform documentation
  • Must be able to perform decontamination of equipment and the processing room
  • Must be able to review work orders or processing instructions/scheduling
  • Must be able to adjust production plans as needed
  • Must be able to perform debridement, dissection, cutting, cleaning and disinfection, sizing, assessing
  • Must be able to perform confirmation of sizing, quality, packaging materials, cryopreservation
  • Must be able to document all processes and functions performed
  • Must be able to perform post-processing decontamination of equipment and the processing room
  • Must agree to a drug-free workplace
  • Must agree to pre-employment substance abuse screening

Desired Qualifications

  • Certified Tissue Banking Specialist (CTBS) Certification
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • One (1) year Tissue Processing Experience
  • Technical skills
  • Knowledge of human anatomy
