Job Summary
Schedule, coordinate, and supervise hot wheel line, heat treating, finishing, inspection, and shipping operations on a shift to meet production objectives. Direct repair of equipment and manage manpower for a team of 10-18, including team leaders, mechanics, and hourly staff. Select, train, and motivate a competent workforce while maintaining safety, good housekeeping, and equipment maintenance standards. Resolve grievances at the first step to promote fair solutions with employees, union representatives, and quality managers. Ensure adherence to AAR and Griffin quality standards through interfaces with the Quality Manager and Non-Destructive Testing systems.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Operations or related discipline
- 3-5 years of experience supervising in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with Non Destructive Testing
- Experience with tooling
- Experience with Quality Control (including SPC)
- Experience with Safety
- Experience with maintenance
- Experience with capital project management
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent leadership skills
- Excellent organizational skills
