Job Summary
Process Line Operator at Lamb Weston in American Falls, ID. Operates and adjusts processing equipment to maintain smooth line flow and product quality, monitors waste levels and product consistency using process control systems, starts/stops equipment for changes or emergencies, conducts quality checks (peel loss, salinity, grid checks), maintains sanitary conditions, and collaborates with QA, maintenance, and leadership to ensure optimal performance. Requires high school diploma or GED (preferred), ability to work 12-hour shifts including weekends, familiarity with HMI and data entry, and willingness to complete sanitation and lock-out/tag-out training; forklift certification preferred. Demonstrated safety mindset and proactive attention to detail are valued, with opportunities for growth and advancement.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, weekends, and rotating schedules
- Comfortable using computers, touchscreens (HMI), and 2-way radios
- Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal)
- Willingness to complete required training (Sanitation, Lock-out/Tag-out)
- Forklift certification preferred (or ability to become certified)
- Understanding of safe lifting techniques and chemical handling
- Preferred: Experience in food processing or manufacturing
- Preferred: Familiarity with optical sorters, LADRES, or similar equipment
