Job Summary
Operate extrusion equipment and related systems to produce products per run sheets and formulated recipes. Set up and calibrate machinery, inspect and adjust variables to meet product requirements, and maintain safe, clean work areas. Support test runs and product development through collaboration with QA and R&D, train and direct extrusion process/setup tasks, and handle supplies and paperwork with accurate reporting. Proficiently operate auxiliary equipment (pumps, coating applicator, tanks, etc.), manage material handling ( forklift, scanners ), and ensure products meet client specifications and quality standards. Maintain compliance with GMPs and SOPs, participate in changeovers, and contribute to cross-functional communication with QA and maintenance teams.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Extrusion experience strongly preferred or previous machine experience acceptable
- Willing to work in a team environment and contribute to group goals
- Ability to receive and provide instructions in a positive manner
- Ability to communicate both verbally and in written form
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages)
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to read and follow simple written instructions
