Job Summary
Processing Lead (2nd Shift) at Lactalis leading the shift on the manufacturing floor in Murfreesboro, TN. Directs shift operations, oversees operators, ensures safe, compliant dairy production, and drives performance initiatives. Serves as SAP data-entry SME for production, inventory, and BOM accuracy, monitors schedules, adjusts staffing/resources to meet daily output, and leads handoffs. Coaches and develops the team, promotes accountability and engagement, and coordinates with Maintenance, Quality, Warehouse, and Planning to optimize product flow. Maintains compliance with food-safety programs (GMP, HACCP, SQF, FSSC), investigates issues, implements corrective actions, and supports continuous improvement focused on productivity, cost reduction, and safety. Requires flexible scheduling to support a 24/7 operation and strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- experience leading a manufacturing team
- strong understanding of GMP, HACCP, SQF, FSSC
- experience with SAP data entry
- ability to flex work schedule to support 24/7 operation (weekends/holidays/on-call)
- excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- ability to lead shift operations, oversee handoffs, and direct operators
- experience with production metrics, yield, labor efficiency, and waste reduction
- familiarity with food safety and regulatory compliance requirements (GMP, HACCP, SQF, FSSC)
- ability to collaborate with Maintenance, Quality, Warehouse, and Planning teams
- experience documenting production records, charts, and logs
- drive continuous improvement initiatives for productivity and safety
