Job Summary
Processing Equipment Operator/Forklift Operator at Nutrition 101 LLC in Wayland, MI. Responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to load, unload, move, and stack products safely and efficiently, transport materials to designated locations, maintain accurate inventory records, and follow all safety protocols. Collaborates with team members to support order fulfillment and maintains adherence to company policies, procedures, and GMP guidelines. Key tasks include operating forklifts, ensuring proper stacking and storage, assisting in inventory counts, performing routine forklift maintenance checks, entering load data into company software, and supporting processing crews as needed. Requires forklift certification and 1–2 years of relevant experience, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, willingness to work in varied conditions, and compliance with PPE and cGMP standards.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and operate equipment for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs repetitively, heavier loads with assistance.
- Comfortable working in varied environmental conditions, including heat, cold, noise, dust, and odors.
- Capable of repetitive motions and manual handling of materials throughout the shift.
- Must wear and maintain all required personal protective equipment (PPE), such as non-slip, steel-toe boots, gloves, safety glasses, and hearing protection.
- Ability to safely climb ladders or steps to access elevated work areas when necessary.
- Able to work around dairy products.
