Job Summary
The Process Tuner Field Engineer will provide advanced process tuning for Boiler or BOP processes while ensuring effective operation of plant processes for optimized productivity. This role involves developing and implementing startup and tuning activities for major retrofit projects, generating and storing tuning reports, and conducting site acceptance and performance testing. Additionally, the engineer will apply specialized knowledge in advisory roles, manage resources for service projects, provide recommendations for hiring Field Engineers, and resolve customer warranty claims. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering, eight years of relevant experience, strong power plant control knowledge, and a willingness to travel extensively.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical degree
- A minimum of eight (8) years of field engineering related experience
- Strong understanding of power plant operation and controls
- Strong understanding of control schemes for Boiler and Turbine on conventional and combined cycle plants as well as water treatment and renewable power generating facilities
- Demonstrated experience tuning conventional, combined cycle, or renewable plants
- Willingness and ability to travel 80% of time
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
