Job Summary
Process Technology Manager responsible for leading process design and engineering support for ammonia production initiatives, overseeing early studies, technology evaluations, FEED and detailed design, and startup/commissioning support. The role emphasizes technical oversight from FEEP through construction, development of design deliverables (PFDs, P&IDs, heat and material balances, equipment data sheets, simulations, calculations including hydraulics and depressuring), and evaluating hydrogen/ammonia production technologies. Collaboration with Business Development and Projects on cost/benefit analyses, FEED execution, and ensuring process safety and decarbonization program engagement. Requires 15+ years of design engineering experience, a Bachelor's in chemical engineering, proficiency with process simulators (ASPEN, HYSYS, UNISYS, Pro II, ProMax), knowledge of process safety management, and willingness to travel. The role is hybrid with a Houston-based office and direct-hire employment for US Citizens only.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or related field
- Minimum 15 years related experience in design engineering or consulting
- Experience in ammonia, methanol, syngas, gasification, or hydrogen projects
- Proficiency in process simulators such as ASPEN, HYSYS, UNISYS, Pro II, and ProMax
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license
- Experience acting as owner's engineer for large-scale facilities through the life of the project
- Experience leading Front End Planning, detailed design, and construction on process facility projects is preferred
- Advanced degree and/or Professional Engineer license desirable
