Job Summary
The Process Technician role focuses on safely implementing, optimizing, and sustaining injection molding processes, molds, and equipment to consistently produce high-quality products. Responsibilities include maintaining process definitions, using statistical analysis to improve processes, documenting corrective actions per GDP, ensuring adherence to safety and quality policies, communicating across departments, installing tooling, performing preventative maintenance, supporting Lean Sigma initiatives, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED Required
- Associate’s degree in Plastic & Polymer Education preferred
- RJG or similar injection molding training
- 3 years of injection molding or comparable experience
- Machine start up and shut down – mold pull / set activities
- Setup and operation of 3 axis robots preferred
- Proficiency with a variety of production equipment, and hand tools
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to obtain a Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) license
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and process control documentation
- Possess a fundamental mechanical aptitude of mechanical principles and concepts
- Able to comply with the company’s safety policy at all times
- Able to comply with the company’s quality policy at all times
