Job Summary
Develop, monitor, and optimize injection molding processes to ensure consistent product quality, efficiency, and minimal downtime. Troubleshoot defects such as short shots, flash, sink marks, and burns; set precise process parameters (temperatures, pressures, cycle times); support mold trials and automated cell setups involving Cartesian or 6-axis robotics; perform process validation and document standard operating conditions; coordinate with Mold Setters, Operators, and Quality personnel to maintain smooth production flow; conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions; drive improvements to cycle times and scrap reduction; maintain process documentation and daily production logs.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of proven experience in plastic injection molding processing
- strong understanding of polymer behavior, resin characteristics, drying requirements
- proficiency with automated systems and secondary equipment, including Cartesian or 6-axis robots
- ability to execute root cause analysis on the manufacturing floor
- demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- flexibility to support afternoon shift hours and weekend overtime rotations
- pass standard background and drug screening
